American Sprint Car Series Featuring 10 Events Across The 2017 Independence Day Weekend

TULSA, Okla. (June 27, 2017) Starting Friday, June 30 and going to Monday, July 3 the American Sprint Car Series is slated for 10 events at nine tracks in six states and three time zones as ASCS National and Regional Tours are set to do battle.

Friday, June 30 will kick off with three events. The Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour presented by the MAVTV Motorsports Network will headline with the Fred Brownfield Classic at Grays Harbor Raceway in Elma, Wash. The Speedway Motors ASCS Warrior Region presented by Impact Signs, Awnings, and Wraps will make their return to Callaway Raceway in Fulton, Mo. while the Lucas Oil ASCS Southern Outlaw Sprints invade Hattiesburg Speedway in Hattiesburg, Miss.

Saturday, July 1 will again see the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour presented by the MAVTV Motorsports Network with the finale of the Fred Brownfield Classic at Grays Harbor Raceway. Down in the desert, the ASCS Southwest Region hits the three-eighths mile Arizona Speedway in Queen Creek while the Speedway Motors ASCS Warrior Region presented by Impact Signs, Awnings, and Wraps returns to Lake Ozark Speedway in Eldon, Mo.

Sunday, July 2 is all about the regions of the ASCS Nation with the Speedway Motors ASCS Warrior Region presented by Impact Signs, Awnings, and Wraps at Double X Speedway in California, Mo. Recently added to the ASCS Mid-South lineup, Diamond Park Speedway in Murfreesboro, Ark. will debut the series. On to Milton, Fla. for the Lucas Oil ASCS Southern Outlaw Sprints, Milton Speedway will light up for the series second attempt of the season.

Monday, July 3 will see one event with the ASCS Mid-South Region at Crowley’s Ridge Raceway in Paragould, Ark.

Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour presented by the MAVTV Motorsports Network
Friday, June 30 and Saturday, July 1 – Grays Harbor Raceway (Elma, Wash.)

Events No. 13 and 14 for the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour presented by the MAVTV Motorsports Network since 2009 to Grays Harbor Raceway, the third annual Fred Brownfield Classic pays tribute to one of the most iconic figures in Motorsports. Just off a dominating performance in the 46th Jim Raper Memorial Dirt Cup at Skagit Speedway, Sam Hafertepe, Jr. enters this weekend looking to carry his momentum to another sweep of the Brownfield Classic. Johnny Herrera grabbed the win in the finale of the inaugural event in 2015, with Jason Solwold also picking up a win during prelim competition. Friday, June 30 will pay $3,000 to win with Saturday, July 1 upping that to $4,000 to win. Both night’s pay $400 to start with $150 to non-qualifiers.

ASCS Mid-South Region:
Sunday, July 2 at Diamond Park Speedway (Murfreesboro, Ark.)
Monday, July 3 at Crowley’s Ridge Raceway (Paragould, Ark.)

Two new tracks for the revamped region, Sunday, July 2 will see the series at Diamond Park Speedway in Murfreesboro, Ark. with Crowley’s Ridge Raceway in Paragould, Ark. on Monday, July 3.

Both night’s will feature a $2,000 to win, $300 to start A-Feature event. Tim Crawley leads the tour standings going into this weekend’s double header. Andy McElhannon holds second with Brian Bell, Ernie Ainsworth, and Dakota Gains in the top-five.

Sunday, July 2 at Diamond Park Speedway gets underway at 8:00 P.M. (CDT). Adult tickets are $20 with a $5 discount for kids. Other classes include Front Wheel Drives, Pure Stocks, Street Stocks, Mod Lites, Modifieds and $1000 to win Factory Stocks. Monday, July 3 at Crowley’s Ridge Raceway begins at 7:30 P.M. (CDT). Adults are $20 at the gate with kids admitted for $10. The 5th annual Rumble at the Ridge will also include Mini-Sprints, Factory Stocks, and Modifieds. More information on the facility can be found online at http://www.crraceway.com.

Lucas Oil ASCS Southern Outlaw Sprints:
Friday, June 30 at Hattiesburg Speedway (Hattiesburg, Miss.)
Sunday, July 2 at Southern Raceway (Milton, Fla.)

Two nights, two states for the Lucas Oil ASCS Southern Outlaw Sprints as the tour hits Hattiesburg Speedway on Friday, June 30 for the annual “Flip Flop 50”, followed by Sunday, July 2 at Southern Raceway in Milton, Fla. for the “Southern Slide”.

Joined by Modifieds, Factory Stocks, NeSmith Street Stocks, and Outlaw Street Stocks at Hattiesburg, the format is as the name suggests. After 25 laps, the caution will fly, the field will be inverted, and the race is on again for another 25 laps. Hot Laps are at 7:00 P.M. (CDT). Dubbed “Dirtpocolypse”, Southern Raceway in Milton, Fla. on Sunday, July 2 includes Motorcycles, Pure Stocks and NeSmith Street Stock divisions. ASCS Southwest Region:
Saturday, July 1 at Arizona Speedway (Queen Creek, Ariz.)

Picking up the season at the three-eighths mile Arizona Speedway in Queen Creek, the ASCS Southwest Region readies for Round 8 on the 2017 season. The fourth race on the season at the Arizona Speedway, three previous visits has yielded just as many winners. Colton Hardy leads the way into the action on Saturday, July 1 by only 19 markers over nine time champion, Rick Ziehl.

Making Saturday’s showdown a special one for all involved is it being the Steve Stroud Tribute. The night also includes a fireworks spectacular by Patriot Fireworks. Another bonus is the Steve Stroud Arizona Open Wheel Racing Museum $2000 to win ASCS bonus. Jan Stroud is also handing out free Snow Cones in honor of Steve’s Birthday.

IMCA Modifieds, Pure Stocks, and Robert Horne Ford Bombers will fill Saturday’s lineup. Action starts at 8:00 P.M. (MST) with admission only $15 for adults, $12 for seniors, and free for children 11 and under. For more information, log onto http://www.arizonaspeedway.net.

The “Tiger Towing Red, White, and Blue Tour” is back with the Speedway Motors ASCS Warrior Region presented by Impact Signs, Awnings, and Wraps with three nights on tap, all upped to a $1,776 to win in the A-Feature with $225 to start. On top of the higher payout, a $500 bonus is up for anyone who can pull off a repeat victory. Valley Park will be the Hard Charger sponsor each night and a point fund will be in place for the three night swing. Draw will be $20 each night with $10 going into the fund.

Friday, June 30 at Callaway Raceway in Fulton, Mo. will also include A-Mods, B-Mods, Sportsman, Hornets, and Jr. Hornets on the quarter-mile oval. Hot Laps begin at 7:30 P.M. (CDT). More information on the Missouri oval can be found online at http://www.callawayraceways.com.

Saturday, July 1 at Lake Ozark Speedway could be a rematch of sorts as Kyle Bellm led every lap this past Saturday night for his first Warrior Regional score of the 2017 season over a roster of 25 strong. Along with the ASCS Warrior Region, the night will also include A-Mod, B-Mods, and Street Stocks. Racing begins at 7:00 P.M. (CDT) with admission set at $16 for adults. The final round of the three night swing, Double X Speedway in California, Mo. brings the Warriors along with Micros, Hobby Stocks, and Street Stocks together for a Sunday showdown on July 2. Scheduled as Round 3 for the quarter-mile oval, the last two attempts have fallen to weather and is the last tune up before the Clyde Wood Memorial on July 23. Admission is $15.
